Rita Repulsa was on the loose, and the Earth was in need of some heroes. Five teenagers used Power Coins given to them by Zordon to transform into the Power Rangers, gaining extraordinary powers which they used to defeat the neverending army of monsters which attacked Angel Grove.

The Power Rangers' headquarters was the Command Center, which was located in the desert. It was later turned into the Power Chamber, and ultimately destroyed by Divatox in Power Rangers Turbo.
